Darlene Grabo is a Registered Nurse and a Certified Health Coach.
Graduating in 1978 from Foothills Hospital School of Nursing in Calgary, Alberta, Darlene has spent the majority of her career as an Emergency Room Nurse, expanding into the field of Injury Prevention by developing and facilitating the Southern Alberta P.A.R.T.Y. Program (Prevent Alcohol and Risk Related Trauma in Youth). She has also specialized in Holistic Nursing having taken the Specialization Courses through the Canadian Holistic Nurses Association.
Darlene is a Certified BodyTalk Practitioner and has completed all basic courses and advanced courses. She is a member of the International BodyTalk Association.
Darlene also practices energy medicine in a variety of other modalities including Therapeutic Touch, Guided Imagery, & Reiki. She holds a current membership with the Canadian Association for Integrative and Energy Therapies. (CAIET).
Following the sudden death of a family member in 2006, Darlene became committed to Grief Recovery work. She became a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist through the Canadian Grief Recovery Institute in 2010. In 2012 Darlene graduated from Centennial College, Toronto, Canada with a Certification in Thanatology – the study of death, dying and grief. Darlene offers Individual Grief Recovery Programs.
Darlene received her Certified Health Coach training from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, where she was trained in more than one hundred dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on this knowledge, she will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.
