Holistic Nursing

A holistic nurse is a Registered Nurse with training in the specialty area of holistic nursing. A holistic nurse views each individual as a whole human being including the physical body, emotions, thoughts, belief systems, attitudes, assumptions, and expectations, all of which are carried in the human energy field surrounding us and influence our mental and physical health.  As human beings we are also intertwined with our environment and its energy. This is the core that allows us to interconnect with each other.

A holistic nurse looks beyond the client’s physical symptoms and diagnosed illnesses, and works with them to understand underlying causes, their overall wellness and life circumstances. This process provides tools to assist each individual to become an active participant in their own health and wellness.
